We stayed for three days at the Hyatt Regency Danang in an up and coming part of Vietnam. It’s a very solid 4 star property but nothing more. The spa beautifully designed in that Southeast Asia tropical way but a poor work ethic and some questionable attitudes bring it down in my eyes. It could, also be closer to the resort with clearer signs on how to get there from the rooms and common areas. What I loved : Outdoor bath for treatment rooms I didn’t get time to use it but looks solo inviting! The not-so-good 1. Bait and Switch and the adamant receptionist I don’t like being told there’s one thing available and then it disappearing. I thought I had successfully changed to a Four Hands treatment on the phone but the receptionist almost threatened my husband that I needed to come now for the previously planned 90 mind couple treatment. I was fully immersed in my book by the pool. IM NOT HOPSTEPPING because receptionist threatens to charge me for …
While my other half does the work thing with the 2015 Tokyo International Boring…err Motor show. I’ll be taking this spa show on the road of some of Tokyo and Kanagawa’s best spas 🙂 1. IZUMI spa at Hyatt Regency Hakone 2. AO Spa at Andaz Tokyo 3. Ritz Carlton Tokyo spa Wanted to but won’t. they charge non-guests ¥11,000 to use the spa. Who does that? I just don’t like when hotels do that because spaists are typically of a certain income bracket and going to shell out for a day of pampering. A surcharge penalty for not being a hotel guest is wrong. Oh, and, Ritz Carlton corporate needs to update http://www.ritzcarlton.com spa menu for Tokyo. I read, heard, saw (here: Ritz Carlton Tokyo changes to Sodashi (Japanese) and here: Ritz Carlton Tokyo Press release! From the Lion’s mouth itself) through the luxury spa grapevine that they use Sodashi products now: Ritz Carlton Tokyo’s (old) spa menu ===> FAIL that this is still up and nothing has been updated. (Available in Japanese though!?) 3.1 The Spa @ …
1. Shangri-la Tokyo Fall Berry and wine Kisetsu ritual 2. Andaz Tokyo Jiyujizai body treatment AND… 3. Hyatt Regency Tokyo?! Kind of like Gucci, Versace then Ferraro Rocher. 😛 #theunknown #theothershinjukuhyatt 4. Maybe MO Tokyo on Friday to end this Tokyo Fall spa adventure
One of my favorite profs talked about economy of words so let’s just say CHI spa should do the #batflip. The Tokyo spa game is over. Was that amazing for Miss Spaist! ^_^
What a mouthful to get out for a title! Trying to have my first North American Spaist adventure but the spa close SOOO (read: too early). Shangri-la Toronto’s spa closes at 9pm! My treatments in Asia sometimes begin at 9pm. EEK. We’re not in Kansas anymore, Toto. 😭😭
Tycoon’s delight in the Austrian capital, where one can spa in a former gold vault. The PH Vienna used to be an old bank but I know women will break the glass ceiling and also go for the Masterful Visionary. Ladies like marine facials, green tea exfoliation and Smoothies as well! #aranyspa #parkhyattvienna
Ritz Carlton Kyoto vs. Hyatt Regency Kyoto: let the bathtubs serve as a preview. And….GO!
